Our Belgian Abbey Tripel is refined, refreshing and ravishing. Steeped in history as tall as the monastery chimneys, this beer offers you a window into how our ability to brew craft beer has been around for centuries.

Established in 1784, Brewery Van Steenberge has always remained family-owned and is now managed by the 6th generation. Jef Versele is now the proud custodian of the Van Steenberge brewery, whether it be guarding their yeast cultures, developing beers with Michelin star chefs, or watching over the natural maturation and fermentation processes. They are proud of their heritage, yet the brewery is modern from a technological point of view, and it stands for independence, progress and growth – true craft brewers to the core, for over 200 years.

Sommelier Tasting Note

Beers that are bottle conditioned, or “living” as Jef likes to say at the brewery, are examples of historical brewing at its finest. Bright blonde with flavours of floral muscat grapes, peppery spice, orange zest, and a desert-dry finish.
